YES! Enjoy Your Spring Break — BUT Beware the Spring Break Blues!
Spring Break is something everyone looks forward to—and you absolutely should enjoy it! It’s a chance to relax, have fun, travel, and spend quality time with family and friends. But here’s the reality: too much of a good thing can quickly turn into a setback.
Every year, we see the same pattern. Students and families go all-in—late nights, junk food, zero structure, and nonstop activity. It feels great in the moment, but the aftermath? Not so great. Fatigue, illness, minor injuries, and a tough transition back to normal life.
Why does this happen? Because your body thrives on consistency. When you suddenly change sleep schedules, overload on sugar or fast food, and push your physical limits without balance, your system takes a hit. Energy drops, focus disappears, and the immune system weakens. That “fun break” can leave you feeling worse than before it started.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy yourself—it means be smart about it. Keep some structure. Stay hydrated. Get decent sleep. Mix in activity with recovery. If you’re training, don’t go from zero to extreme. And if you take time off, ease back in when you return.
Spring Break should recharge you, not set you back.
The families and students who come back feeling strong, healthy, and ready to go are the ones who kept things balanced. They had fun—but they didn’t abandon their habits completely.
So yes—enjoy every moment. Make memories. Have fun.
Just don’t let a week of overdoing it undo months of progress.
